This forum is a site for collectively generating, developing, and discussing material for the Asking People to Build Things event by the experimental music group Current Resonance. It is an experiment in artistic outsourcing, collaborative composition, and the friction between virtual conceptualization and physical realization. The event will take place on Friday, May 24 2024 at Institute for X in Aarhus, Denmark as part of SPOR Festival for Contemporary Music and Sound Art.
Here you ask for things to be added to the event. The ‘things’ can be actions, objects, sounds, etc.
The different boards on this site represent various parameters of the event (fx. ‘Scenography’) and are spaces where users can ask for something to be added at the event. Anyone (including guest users) can create and reply to topics. Topics and replies must be relevant to the board in which they are posted.
Posts unrelated to a board’s topic will be deleted.
In the days leading up to the event Current Resonance will collate the posts on this site into a blueprint for the event. At the event Current Resonance will lead a 5-hour collaborative building session with the audience where we collectively attempt to realize the blueprint and complete the evening with a collective jam session that utilizes what has been built.
